Position Overview

Loyal Source is seeking a skilled Installation Technician in the Jacksonville, Florida area to install, troubleshoot, and service commercial security, fire, and integrated low-voltage systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with fire alarm systems, intrusion systems, and basic IP networking concepts for camera installations. This role requires a customer-focused professional who can work independently while maintaining quality workmanship and ensuring project completion within established timelines.

Pay: $33 / hour

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial security and low-voltage systems.
• Install and service fire alarm systems, intrusion detection systems, CCTV/video surveillance systems, access control systems, and intercom systems.
• Conduct system testing, inspections, signal verification, and functionality checks.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Complete service reports, installation documentation, and timekeeping records accurately and on time.
• Coordinate with project managers and team members to ensure efficient project execution and completion.
• Maintain compliance with local, state, and national codes and company safety standards.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while representing Loyal Source professionally.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or vocational/technical training.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in low-voltage, security, fire alarm
• Strong background in intrusion is required
• Must have basic networking knowledge for IP camera systems
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work above ceilings, in attics, crawl spaces, and on elevated platforms as required.
• Lift, carry, and move equipment and materials up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to distinguish colors and utilize close, distance, and peripheral vision while performing installations.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional on-call responsibilities and travel as needed.
