Summary

This full‑time position with Loyal Source Government Services (LSGS) supports the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Disability Evaluation (MDE) program. As a Diagnostic Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring Veterans receive timely, high‑quality diagnostic services. You will identify, recruit, and onboard diagnostic facilities to expand our network, with a focus on improving access for Veterans in rural or underserved areas. In this role, you will also manage ongoing relationships with diagnostic accounts by monitoring availability, coordinating pending cases, facilitating timely scheduling, and ensuring prompt receipt and delivery of diagnostic results.

Pay Rate: $50,000/salary

Duties and Functions

  1. Identify and Develop Diagnostic Network Coverage: Research, identify, and engage diagnostic facilities to support out‑of‑range cases and strengthen coverage within the MDE Provider Network.
  2. Recruitment, Outreach, and Onboarding: Conduct outreach to potential facilities, communicate participation benefits, and guide them through onboarding and initial integration into diagnostic workflows.
  3. Order and Requisition Facilitation: Initiate and manage diagnostic orders/requisitions, ensuring accuracy of required documentation and alignment with DBQ diagnostic test requirements.
  4. Veteran Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate and schedule veterans for diagnostic exams, ensuring facilities receive required documentation and veterans receive appropriate instructions.
  5. Tracking and Workflow Monitoring: Track diagnostic cases from order submission through completion, monitoring appointment status, facility turnaround, and any follow‑up needs.
  6. Results Receipt and Documentation Management: Verify, process, and upload diagnostic results upon receipt, ensuring timely and accurate documentation within required systems.
  7. Relationship Management, Collaboration, and Compliance Support: Build strong relationships with diagnostic facilities and collaborate with examiners, Provider Liaisons, and internal teams. Support adherence to diagnostic ordering rules, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or Two‑Year Degree; equivalent combination of education and related work experience may be considered.

Experience working in a healthcare operations, administrative support, or customer-facing role.

Preferred Requirements

·      Familiarity with diagnostic terminology, imaging modalities, or healthcare workflows.

·      Experience with case tracking, scheduling, or documentation in a medical or diagnostic setting.

·      Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) Systems, Salesforce, or similar systems.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA)

  • Basic knowledge of healthcare operations, regulations, and diagnostic terminology.
  • Knowledge of data interpretation methods to support routine operational processes.
  • Communication skills for interacting with examiners and internal teams.
  • Organizational and documentation skills to manage daily workflow.
  • Skill in using MDE4Vets, Excel, Salesforce, and SEMOSS reporting.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and support diagnostic operations.
  • Ability to interpret routine data and present simple findings.

Work Environment/Condition

Work is performed on-site at corporate headquarters in a well‑lit, indoor office environment, surrounded by colleagues in a cubicle-based workspace.
