Capture Operations Analyst
Job Description
SUMMARY The Capture Operations Analyst supports the Business Development and Capture teams by coordinating activities throughout the federal capture lifecycle. This role assists with opportunity tracking, competitive intelligence, proposal readiness, capture documentation, and cross-functional communication to help position Loyal Source for success on government contracts. The analyst maintains capture data, develops reports and briefings, supports gate reviews, and ensures compliance with internal processes and timelines.
DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
• Key Responsibilities:
• Support capture managers in planning and executing capture strategies for federal, state, and local government opportunities.
• Maintain opportunity data within CRM and business development tools.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer intelligence gathering.
• Coordinate meetings, gate reviews, and capture-related deliverables across stakeholders.
• Track action items, milestones, and proposal readiness activities.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and executive briefings to support decision-making.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of capture documentation and records.
• Provide support to subcontracting opportunities/pursuits.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Government, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting business development, capture management, proposal operations, or government contracting preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience supporting capture managers on complex, enterprise level bids Domain knowledge of any of the following Government Agencies and missions:

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES (KSA)
Knowledge— Exposure to industry leading capture and proposal methodologies such as Shipley. Basic understanding of federal acquisition processes, contract types (e.g., non IDIQ, IDIQ), and payment methodologies (e.g., FFP, T&M, cost-plus).
Skill— Teamwork and collaboration skills in working within high-stakes, multi-disciplinary bid teams in fast-paced environments.
Ability—Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITION
Standard office setting with typical lighting, temperature, and equipment. Work involves frequent research, collaboration, and initiative management within fast-paced cycles.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, review documents, conduct digital research, and manage several concurrent tasks.
