Expanding Support for NASA’s Innovation Initiatives
Orlando, FL — June 26, 2025 — Loyal Source Government Services (https://www.loyalsource.com/), a leading provider of healthcare and technical solutions for federal, state, and local agencies, has been awarded a position on the NASA Open Innovation Services 3 (NOIS3) contract. Through this award, Loyal Source will have the opportunity to support the space agency with advanced technical solutions, data science, software development, engineering design, and public engagement strategies.
The NOIS3 contract enables participating contractors to deliver crowdsourcing-based solutions, including challenge-driven innovation, freelance projects, micro-tasking, and other collaborative approaches that tap into global expertise and online communities. The total value of the contract is $475 million over 10 years. There is a guaranteed $500 minimum obligation for each contract award. The base contract spans June 5, 2025, through May 31, 2027, and there are two options, the first for three years, and the second for five years. If all options are exercised, work could continue through May 31, 2035.
Under this initiative, Loyal Source will support the NASA Center of Excellence for Collaborative Innovation (CoECI) at Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. NASA’s CoECI provides guidance on open innovation initiatives, helping define challenges and requirements and formulating and evaluating potential solutions. The center’s end-to-end service allows NASA and other federal agencies to rapidly experiment with new methods and solve critical problems through innovation and collaboration.
