Embedded Security Technician – Redmond, WA
We are seeking a skilled Embedded Security Technician to support a high‑profile client at their facility in Redmond, Washington. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented security professional who takes pride in delivering reliable, high‑quality installations and service of security systems in a commercial environment.
Position Overview
The technician will be responsible for installing, servicing, and troubleshooting a variety of enterprise‑level electronic security systems, including access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV/video surveillance. This is an on‑site role embedded with the client, requiring professionalism, technical expertise, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and service commercial security systems
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on access control, intrusion, and CCTV systems
- Work with system hardware, software, and network components
- Install, terminate, and test CAT6 cabling and related infrastructure
- Document work performed and maintain accurate service records
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience installing and servicing electronic security systems in a commercial setting
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network layers
- Must have a state EL06 license
- Hands‑on experience with Lenel and Avigilon systems
- Proficiency with CAT6 installation, termination, and testing
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with other major platforms such as Genetec, Axis, or similar enterprise‑grade systems
- Ability to work independently in a client‑facing environment
