Summary

The Manager, Enterprise Insights & Analytics is responsible for leading the organization’s enterprise reporting and analytics function, with accountability for transforming governed data into actionable insights that drive business performance and decision-making. This role oversees the design, development, and delivery of dashboards, scorecards, and analytical outputs—primarily delivered through Power BI and the enterprise analytics platform—ensuring clarity, consistency, and transparency across the organization.

Operating within a modern data ecosystem, this role is accountable for the consumption layer of enterprise data, ensuring that data is not only accessible, but also meaningful, trusted, and aligned to defined business metrics. The position plays a critical role in standardizing how performance is measured, how insights are communicated, and how data is ultimately used to guide operational and strategic outcomes.

The Manager ensures that reporting and analytics outputs are aligned with established data models and platform capabilities, maintaining consistency with enterprise standards while delivering solutions that meet evolving business needs.

Organizational Context

This role is part of the broader enterprise data and analytics function and represents the business-facing analytics layer within that structure.

·      The Data Architect defines and governs enterprise data models, standards, and structures

·      The Fabric Data Lead ensures the availability, movement, and performance of data across the platform

·      The Manager, Enterprise Insights & Analytics is responsible for how that data is ultimately consumed, interpreted, and used across the business

This structure ensures clear accountability across the data lifecycle, with this role owning the final stage where data is translated into insight and value.

Duties and Functions

Enterprise Analytics & Reporting Delivery

·      Lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions using Power BI and aligned enterprise analytics tools

·      Establish and manage standardized KPI frameworks, scorecards, and performance reporting structures

·      Ensure consistency in how metrics are calculated, defined, and presented across all reporting outputs

·      Oversee semantic models, report structures, and dataset usability to ensure scalability and performance within Power BI environments

·      Deliver insights that go beyond visualization, emphasizing interpretation, context, and business impact

Data Interpretation & Insight Generation

·      Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that can be understood by both technical and non-technical audiences

·      Identify trends, risks, and performance drivers through ongoing analysis

·      Provide structured, repeatable analytical approaches that support forecasting, planning, and performance management

·      Elevate reporting from descriptive outputs to diagnostic and forward-looking insights

Consumption Layer Governance & Standards

·       Define and enforce standards for Power BI development, including dataset usage, report design, naming conventions, and workspace governance

·      Own and enforce standards related to reporting outputs, metric definitions, and analytical consistency

·      Ensure alignment with enterprise data models and adherence to established governance practices

·      Maintain traceability between source data, transformations, and final reported outcomes

·      Support audit readiness by ensuring reporting outputs are reliable, reproducible, and well-documented

·      Prevent fragmentation of metrics and “shadow reporting” through controlled and standardized delivery practices

Business Engagement & Demand Management

·      Serve as a primary point of accountability for analytics demand intake, prioritization, and delivery

·      Structure and managing a pipeline of analytics requests aligned with business priorities

·      Ensure that reporting solutions are aligned with real business needs rather than ad hoc requests

·      Provide clarity to stakeholders on what data is available, how it should be used, and how insights should be interpreted

·      Communicate outputs in formats appropriate for executive, operational, and functional audiences

Team Leadership & Capability Development

·      Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts, report developers, and BI professionals

·      Establish development standards, quality assurance processes, and delivery expectations

·      Drive consistency in how analytics solutions are built, validated, and deployed

·      Foster a culture of accountability, clarity, and continuous improvement within the analytics function

Alignment with Data Platform & Architecture

·      Ensure that reporting solutions are built on governed, standardized data structures

·      Provide structured feedback into data model and pipeline design based on consumption needs

·      Maintain awareness of upstream data changes and their downstream reporting impact

·      Align analytics outputs with enterprise data strategy without duplicating platform or modeling responsibilities

Education and Experience

·      Bachelor’s degree in Data, Analytics, Business, or a related field

·      7+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data-related disciplines

·      3+ years of experience in a leadership or team management role

·      Strong experience delivering enterprise reporting and analytics solutions

·      Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into structured analytical outputs

·      Experience working within modern data platforms and governing data environments

Preferred Requirements

·      Strong experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, report development, and workspace management)

·      Experience operating within enterprise data architectures (e.g., medallion or layered models)

·      Familiarity with platforms such as Workday, Salesforce, or similar enterprise systems

·      Experience implementing or working within formal data governance frameworks

·      Strong background in executive-level reporting and communication
